melbourne girl says hello

haji lane is always a special place

mum had a great spa day. relaxing on her birthday. we all deserve a treat.
a lil' break from it all. we owe ourselves at least that much.

the annual mooncake festival is always special to me. something about a full moon
that makes us all have a heightened sense. and those yummy pomelos & baked
mooncakes i can't wait to sink my teeth into.

love love japanese noodles. especially the cold green tea ones. and this place at
paragon does beautiful hand-made noodles. caught in the act of creating noodles
that are pretty darn near-perfection.

i'm not sure if other people mind their images being uploaded. so voila tis me.

using water to cool down a largely glass facade that traps heat. works for me!

the fusionopolis has such a beautiful theatrette you are treated to visual artistry
before you make your way to your seat!

this girl can really sing. duffy 2009 at the singapore indoor stadium.

a december wedding. my high school buddy never looked more proud as he did
looking at his beautiful bride.

while it broke my heart, i was glad the cats were by her side.

one evening. someone familiar arrived. for drinks up a hill. the
familiar grew unfamiliar.

dear daddy, i love you.

love was in the air that day. my high school friend getting married to a man who
loves her for the beautiful woman she is. it was sunny and breezy. birds were
singing. clouds were pregnant with joy in the sky. and this adorable pair of sisters
were just being their beautiful selves.

a hen's night to remember: two words - calendar girl

lychee martinis suffuse the world in happy amber hues for me

so it was late at night. company was great. a shadow was calling. and i answered.

where there is great music. great words are sure to follow.

in the quiet of the day, sun beating down, an unlit lantern offers a lightness &
suddenly the sky stops glaring & start smiling.

it's amazing what 15 minutes in your day can capture.
singapore may be dimunitive on the world map.
a mere dot.
but it always holds its secrets,
and i look forward to uncovering them
slowly
savouring each sweet moment of rapture...

Hi Pam,

Thanks for your post on the blog.

Your photos always makes me ask lots of questions... They are almost always surreal and never dull. How did you do it every time??

There are a couple of shots that I really like - the wedding ones, Haji Lane, the pomelo, and Duffy.

Hope to see your future posts soon!

Dearest Ray,

You are very sweet with your comments.

Especially as I admire your integrity and pride towards your art. And I have a healthy appreciation of the photos you take.

Thank you for putting it all in a single post.

How do I do it? Very simple. I never think of technicalities. I photograph with my heart & soul. Instinctive, emotional & happily impulsive. Randomness is best :)
